The proposal of the project is to carry out the distribution and interior design of the booking.com offices in Iquitos-Peru. Booking.com always inspires their headquarters design based on the location, and since Iquitos is in the Amazon Jungle, the goal was to integrate the vibrant city with it’s nature, meeting with the company’s brand model, parameters and specifications.
Inspiration
The Amazon River, one of the main natural wonders of the world, is placed as the protagonist of the proposed design, which has organic forms reflected mainly in the floors and in the false ceiling, delivering the best experience for the employees as it matches the natural design of the city.
Our challenge was also to create a mini-city design, with work areas, routs and social spaces. This was one of the customer’s request, to create “a city within a vibrant city”. For the workplace, a natural calm design enhancing the work performance. For the social area, which englobes kitchen and gaming room, cheerful colors were chosen matching some aspects of the local culture, for example the Ayahuasca tradition.
